The Brief
A local manufacturer approached Eagle Wire with a basic concept for a steel mesh trolley that could securely store and transport hazardous materials around their factory. The trolley needed to be robust enough for daily industrial use while allowing easy access to its contents. Security was also essential, with lockable doors that could accommodate padlocks. While the customer had developed an initial concept, they required Eagle Wire to complete the design, produce detailed CAD drawings for approval, and manufacture the finished product.
Solutions Delivered
Eagle Wire’s CAD team refined the customer’s concept into a complete set of production-ready drawings, ensuring the design met both functional and manufacturing requirements before fabrication began.
The trolley frame was manufactured in-house using pre-galvanised steel, with Eagle Wire’s welded mesh panels fixed to the frame to create a strong, durable enclosure. Galvanised sheet panels were cut in-house using precision cutting equipment and fitted where required, while swivel castor wheels and fastening hardware were sourced and installed to complete the build.
To maximise corrosion resistance, all materials were pre-galvanised and every welded joint was treated with a high-quality galvanising spray after fabrication.
Once complete, the fully assembled trolley was ready for immediate use. As the customer was based locally, they were able to collect the finished product directly from Eagle Wire’s dispatch facility.

The completed steel mesh trolley provided the customer with a secure, durable and highly practical solution for storing and transporting hazardous materials throughout their factory.
