The Brief
When Starboard Construction needed a complete custom fencing and balustrading solution for a residential build in Howick, they came to Eagle Wire for a one-stop answer. The job called for a mix of standard products and custom fabrication across internal handrails, external deck balustrades, boundary screen posts, and bespoke steel brackets – all supplied and installed by Eagle Wire’s in-house team.
Solutions Delivered
Each home’s internal stair handrail was made to order, with Eagle Wire handling everything from site measure to fabrication, powder coating, and installation. External decks were fitted with our standard double top rail aluminium balustrades, cut to size on site, with custom angled balustrades fabricated in our workshop for the stairs.
Where standard products were not available locally – including stainless steel brackets in the required size – we designed and manufactured them to specification. A tailor-made galvanised steel balustrade was also provided for the front entry stairs, and custom 75×75 steel posts were fabricated and installed for boundary screen panels.
Compliance and Certifications
Because our balustrades are engineered products, we were able to provide PS3 producer statements for council compliance immediately after installation, saving the client time and paperwork.
